This lean body weight calculator takes your gender, height and weight and calculates your lean weight in kilograms and pounds.

- Select your gender.
- Enter your height either in centimeters or in feet and inches.
- Enter your weight either in kilograms or in pounds.
- Select the lean body weight formula. By default, WPT James formula will be selected.
- Then, click the Calculate LBM button. The lean body weight will be calculated and the result will be displayed in the box below the button. The lean body weight will be both in kilograms and pounds.

Lean body mass is defined as the weight of the human body without including the body fat content. Ideally it's the total body weight subtracted by the body fat weight. One way to find the weight of body fat is to use the Body Fat Percentage Calculator to find out the body fat percentage and derive the body fat weight. Then subtract the body weight with body fat weight. There are also some formulas to estimate the lean body weight using the gender, height and weight. In this calculator, I've used two such formulas to identify the estimated lean body mass or lean body weight.

LBM (For Men) = (1.1 x Wt) – 128 x ( Wt^{2}/Ht^{2})

LBM (For Women) = (1.07 x Wt) – 148 x ( Wt^{2}/Ht^{2})

- Wt = Body Weight in Kilograms (Kg).
- Ht = Body Height in Centimeters (cm).

LBM (For Men) = (0.3281 x Wt) + (0.33929 x Ht) - 29.5336

LBM (For Women) = (0.29569 x Wt) + (0.41813 x Ht) - 43.2933
